Grape varietis:Merlot 50%, cabernet Sauvignon 35% Barbera 15%. Expousure: mainly southwest. Altitude: 280-320 m. above sea level. Cultivation method: low Guyot with 5.500-6.000 vines per hectare Soil: generally average with a tendency towards clay. Year Planted: Barbera in 1966, Merlot in 1991 and Cabernet Sauvignon in 1985. Harvest: by hand into small baskets. Date of Harvest: Merlot 02.09.04, Barbera 18.09.04 and Cabernet Sauvignon 02.10.04. Average grape-yeld per Hectar: an average of 5.0 tons for all varieties. Vinification: all grapes undergo submerged cap fermentation for 15 days and are pumped over and"delestage"during thev first week. When the Cabernet Sauvignon is draw off the final blend is created and the wine is transferred into French oak barriques.Amis 2004 is matured in wood for 16 months the Merlot, 14 months the Barbera and 18 months the Cabernet S. Pre-bottling preparation of the cuvee: 8 months. Filtration: no Bottling date: May 2008 Minimum refining in bottle: 6 months
